“‘Making airfix models is like meditation to me…. ‘
A call out for donations for Jimmy’s Cambridge!!
- Mark loves making models
- Tony likes to pencil sketch portraits onto cartridge paper
- Sarah loves pop-art and likes to paint acrylic onto canvas…
We have been lifted by Maya Angelou, inspired by William Burroughs, Bowie and Kupric. We are making Venecian bird masks and industrial looking dream catchers with scrap (we will not loose our dreams!).
Art is not about ‘passing time’ at JImmy’s … It is about remembering who we are, celebrating our beings, creating beauty together, being seen and heard and stimulating our ‘creative-cells’ to find new ways to look to our futures… About having fun, learning about each other and being wonderful at a time when the shit has well and truly hit the fan.
Could you possibly help with donations or know anyone who may be able to? Do you have an airfix model lurking, still unmade, in its box? Some art materials you will never get round to using? We would LOVE them here!!! please could you leave any donations at Jimmy’s reception on East Road. Or I may be able to pick up.#homelessarehuman thank you! Love xxx”
